How to create an Automated Transfer Profile, specify Action Rules and set a Schedule
- Start the Auto FTP
Manager.
- From the File menu, click on New Profile.
- Select the Automated Transfer option on the New Profile Wizard Click on Next.
- Specify PC Folder or Network Drive Details. This will be Folder 1 for the transfer process. You can also Select Sub-Folders and Files to include or exclude during the automated transfer. Click on Next.
- Specify the
location
where you
will be
transferring
files and
folders
between.
The location
could be an FTP
server or a Folder on my (your) PC
or Network
drive.
Choose the
location as FTP
server.
This is the
Folder 2 for
the transfer
process.
Click Next.
- Give FTP
Connection
Details .
Select FTP Folder and Select Sub Folders and Files to
include or
exclude if you want.
Click Next.
- Specify Action Rules and set a Schedule to run the
automated
transfer at
a specified
time.
Click Next.
- Name the new
profile,
select what
you would
like to do
after
finishing
the wizard,
and click Finish

While you
can set a
schedule
during the
process of
creating a
new
Automated
Transfer
Profile, you
can modify
the schedule
for any
profile.
Simply
follow the
given steps:
- From the
profiles
list,
right-click
on the
Automated
Transfer
Profile
whose timing
you would
like to
change.
Click on Schedule
Profile.
- On the Profile
Scheduler dialog click
the Schedule tab.
- Perform this
Task option lets
you specify
whether to
perform
tasks Once, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, On Start Up or at Custom
Intervals.
The settings
for these
options can
be specified
here.
- Specify the Start Time for the
transfer
process to
begin.
Click on OK.
NOTE: For
scheduled tasks to run
at their scheduled
times, keep Auto FTP
manager running on your
PC. You can make
the program less
conspicuous by
minimizing it to the
System Tray. To
activate this feature,
click on
File > Settings >
General > On close
