I want to change the brightness and contrast of many of my videos. Is this possible with Video Edit Magic?

Use the Brightness/Contrast effect to change the brightness, contrast and gamma of your videos. The Brightness/Contrast effect is present in the Effect tab of the collection window. Drag and drop the effect to the Effect track in the Timeline. You can change the Brightness, Contrast and Gamma by dragging the respective sliders in the effect settings window.
