Auto FTP Manager: Step III- Select FTP Connection Details or PC Folder or Network Drive Details

Step III- Specify FTP Connection Details

If you have chosen the location for Folder 2 as FTP Server in Step II of the New Profile WizardSpecify FTP Connection Details:

  1. FTP Address: Enter the Host Name (Example: ftp.myserver.com) or IP Address of the FTP Server.  If you connect to the Internet using a proxy server, provide an IP address only.  For example:192.182.1.81.
  2. User Name: If the FTP server requires a user name, type yours here.
  3. Password: Enter your password for your FTP account.
  4. Port: The Server Port is the port on which Auto FTP Manager will try to connect to the FTP Server.  This is normally 21; however, it may be different if you are going through a firewall, or if the FTP Server administrator has assigned the FTP protocol to another port.
  5. Anonymous User: Check this option if you want to connect to the FTP server as an anonymous user.  Auto FTP Manager selects the username and password as 'Anonymous' by default.  If Anonymous user is checked, you can't enter a User Name or Password.
  6. Select FTP Folder: Optionally, browse for and select Folder 2 on the FTP server.  If you don't select a folder here, Auto FTP Manager will use the default folder that the FTP server specifies.
  7. Select Sub-Folders and Files to include or exclude (Optional): All sub folders and files are included by default.  But you can include or exclude sub folders and the files in them by clicking on Configure.  Click Next.

Step III- Specify PC Folder or Network Drive Details

If you have chosen the location for Folder 2 as Folder on my PC or Network drive in Step II of the New Profile Wizard, you have to Specify PC Folder or Network Drive Details:

  1. Click the Browse button under PC Folder or Network Drive location.
  2. The Browse For Folder dialog will open.
  3. To view subfolders, in the Browse For Folder dialog click on the Plus Sign.
  4. Select the folder you want.  If you click the Make New Folder button, a new folder will be created and included in the list of folders.  It is called New Folder by default but you can give it any name you like.
  5. Click Ok.
  6. All sub folders and files are included by default.  But you can include or exclude sub folders and the files in them by clicking on Configure under Select Sub-Folders and Files to include or exclude (Optional).
