Predefined profile settings have been created for each BlackBerry model.

To select media conversion properties for your BlackBerry model, click Formats >> Select Device Profiles >> BlackBerry >> ( Select desired device profile ).

This is an example of a BlackBerry Pearl (Pearl Flip) video device profile.

The files encoded with XviD Encoder are compatible with almost all the players.  By default, the video file format is MPEG-4 (*.mp4).  The frame rate is set to 25 fps and the bitrate is 800 kbps.

The audio compressor Advanced Audio Codec ( *.AAC ) produces files that are generally of higher quality and slightly smaller than MP3 ( MPEG 1 Layer 3 ) files at similar bit rates.

However, you can also choose MP3 (MPEG 1 Layer 3) as the compressor.  The frequency is set to 44100 Hz and bitrate to 128 Kbps.  The Stereo audio channel creates an impression of sound heard from various directions.

You can choose the file format as AVI from the dropdown.  On choosing AVI, the Intel(R) H.263 compressor is used.  It takes less space than other compressors for same quality.

The frame rate is set to 25 Fps and bitrate to 800 Kbps.  When compressed with MP3, the media files play on almost all portable audio players.
