Dictation Pro 1.08

Using Dictation Pro

Dictation Pro makes it easy to prepare your emails, documents, letters, and reports by just by speaking into your microphone.  Personalizing Dictation Pro to your voice is very important for increasing speech recognition accuracy.  This section explains how to perform basic operations like creating and managing Voice Profiles, increasing recognition rates.

Create Voice Profile

Before you start the dictation, a voice profile is needed.  It stores the information about the way a person speaks such as certain words, vocal accent, etc.  There are a few ways to create a Voice Profile:

Microphone Positioning

Before you start creating a Voice Profile or dictation, set up and position your microphone correctly.

Voice Training

Voice Training helps Dictation Pro learn to interpret your voice and speech characteristics.  Go through the voice training to improve the speech recognition accuracy.  When you complete the voice training, a Voice Profile is created.  The information that is stored in a voice profile helps the program to recognize your spoken text and commands.  Any special words, names, acronyms, and abbreviations can be added in a voice profile.

Manage Voice Profiles

A control that allows you to perform basic tasks such as Create, Open, Rename and Delete a Voice Profile.  Use Speech Menu, to open Manage Voice Profiles dialog.

Word / Phrase Training

When dictating, if you find that words are being recognized inaccurately then consider using the Word and Phrase Training.  It trains the words so that they are recognized correctly in the future.
