My Personal Translator : Text and Document Translation |
Text and Document Translation
The Text and Document translation option gives you the option of translating your text and documents in different formats thus saving you a lot of time. Using Text and Document translation option, Text, Microsoft® Word® and RTF files can be translated.
In order to translate any text or document consider the following steps:
- Select the source-destination language pair
My Personal Translator provides you with 14 source-destination language translations. Select a language pair from the Translate from box in the toolbar.
- Enter text for translation
You may opt to enter the text manually or open a document by pointing to the File menu, and then clicking Open.
- Set Font and Color
You may apply desired font and color to the text displayed in the input textbox.
The text can be translated either by selecting the menu option File > Translate or clicking the Translate button on the toolbar or the form.
The text displayed in the Input Text box gets translated to the target language. The translated text in the desired language is displayed in the Translated Text box. The images or clips, if any, in between the text are ignored by My Personal Translator and only the text is translated, retaining every applied font and color. Any text over the images or clips is not translated.
The translation process first searches the Translation Memory. If you have specified a 100% match in the “Configure Translation Memory” section, the exact content is searched in the database and replaced. But, if you have specified the match percentage less than 100%, the content is searched depending on Fuzzy Logic and replaced if found in the Translation Memory.
