Using Captured Files
The file menu in Capture utility contains options that let you save the recorded video file in a folder location of your choice and preview / open the captured file in your Media List window directly without having to use the main File menu to import it.
Set Captured File
Clicking this option will invoke a dialog box where you can browse and select the location where you would like to save your captured video file. You may also specify whether you would like to stop the video capture manually or whether you want it to stop automatically after some time. You may set this duration in seconds. You may also choose to save these settings permanently for subsequent video capture sessions by clicking the “Don’t show this box…..” checkbox.
Save Captured File As
After you have captured the video sequence, you may use this option to save the footage in a desired location on your computer.
Preview Last Captured File
This option lets you preview the video file that you have just captured, in Windows Media Player.
Preview Last Snap
This option lets you preview the snap that you have taken using the web-cam. Whenever you take a snap, the image file is saved in the bmp format. Selecting Preview Last Snap allows you to preview it in the default graphics application that is present on your computer.
Add Last Captured File to Media List
Clicking this option will directly import the last video file that you have created, into the Media List window of the currently open project. You will be able to drag this file into the video channel of the Timeline and edit it.
Add Last Snap to Media List
Clicking this option will directly import the last snap that you have taken, into the Media List window of the currently open project. You will be able to drag this image file into the video or overlay track of the Timeline and edit it.
