I've been very impressed with Auto FTP Manager so far - it's very professional. It appears to do everything anyone could want to do - except the specific thing I want to do (which I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting).

I want to install it on a home (Windows) server and have it pull down a file twice a day from a remote FTP site - up to this point I know Auto FTP can do this. The problem occurs with the fact that file is downloaded into the same directory each time, thus overwriting the same file each time. I want it to time/date stamp the directory/file each time it comes down, so I can go back to, for examples, Tuesday afternoon copy.

I've been through the manual quite a few times and know I can do this by manually backing up (select a Profile, and running the profile wizard) but I can't for the life of me find how to automate this.

Guidance would be gratefully received.

Backups can be scheduled but currently the destination files are overwritten. This is a very good request and we will make sure that this is in our Priority List.

Agree that this is a very needed addition. This program does exactly what we need, in exactly the way that we need it done, except we need to download the same file over and over again and we need to add a time/date stamp to it so that we have a series of files, not one that is overwritten.

Thank you, and I will await a reply to this post.

The original request for adding date and time stamp to the compressed backup file or folder has been implemented in the current version of Auto FTP Manager.

We will also be adding the date and time to the file name as an option during normal uploading and downloading in the next release of Auto FTP Manager.

I was checking to see if the date and time stamp to the backup file name has been implemented.

Thanks for your time.
