When you stretch the audio on the timeline, you will experience pitch shifts. Because you are trying to resize the audio to match the video, it seems like your audio is smaller in length than the video. If so, you can split the audio and move the audio clips (not resize) to appropriate positions in the timeline. This may result in empty portions on the audio track but will not cause pitch shifts.

You can also copy a clip or a portion of the clip and paste it back in the timeline. This will enable you to create audio loops, which is quite effective with music. To copy a clip, select the clip and press Ctrl+C. To paste, move the seek slider to where you want to paste the clip and press Ctrl+V.
