Dictation Pro
works with a wide variety of microphones. We find that USB microphones work better than analog microphones since there is no analog to digital conversion. Headset microphones perform well for internet telephony but are not the best for recording or dictation since it is difficult to control voice popping and sibilance. For dictation and audio voice narration, it is best to use a unidirectional microphone with a pop screen to filter out hisses and pops from the environment and the narrators speech.
