Recording from webcam without my roommate knowing

Hi.
I have the suspicion that my roommate comes into my room and steals from me. I want to record via my webcam, but I don't want him to see the camera is recording from my PC when he comes in the room.

You can run WebCam Monitor in hidden mode. In hidden mode WebCam Monitor will not be visible on the screen, task bar or notification area. To toggle WebCam Monitor between hidden mode and displaying on your screen, configure the keyboard short cut keys for hidden mode from the Settings.

Add your webcam and set it for motion detection monitoring with recording action, then use your short cut keys to place it in hidden mode. When the roommate is in the room, WebCam Monitor will start recording in background without letting anyone know that it is recording.
