The Device Preview window for each camera can be used to control and configure it. The Device Preview and Monitoring Control Bar is below the Preview screen and looks like this:

The table below explains the functions of each button on the Device Preview and Monitoring Control bar.

To perform this function:	Use this button:
Pan/Tilt (Only for some IP Cameras)
Zoom In*
Zoom Out*
Pause the preview (to freeze the view and zoom in or take a photo if you notice something you want to examine in detail or use for later reference)
Play the preview that has been paused previously (The Pause button changes to Play when the preview is paused)
Start Monitoring With Alerts
Stop Monitoring With Alerts (The "Start Monitoring With Alerts" button changes to the Stop Monitoring With Alerts button after monitoring is started)
Start Manual Recording (recording continues till you manually stop it)
Stop Manual Recording (The Recording button changes to Stop Recording button while recording is going on)
Take Photo
Mask
Unmask (The "Mask" button changes to the Unmask button after an area is masked)
Start Broadcasting
Stop Broadcasting (the "Start Broadcasting" button changes to Stop Broadcasting when broadcasting is active)
Configure Camera Monitoring Options (to change the settings of camera)

* Every time you click on the Zoom In/Zoom Out button, there is a 25% increase/decrease in the view. You can zoom in up to 200% of the original view. If you want to zoom in to a particular portion of the Preview, click on the Zoom In button, then click on the area you want to zoom in on.

To automatically configure Security Monitor Pro based on common monitoring scenarios, click the Auto Configuration Wizard button on the main program toolbar or open the File menu and click on Auto Configuration Wizard.
