Auto Discovery while browsing in Active Web Reader
Active Web Reader performs Auto Discovery in the background while you browse web
pages in its integrated browser. It then automatically presents you a list
of all auto-discovered feeds. Whenever Active Web Reader discovers a feed,
it displays the Auto-Discovery Icon i.e.
in the status bar along
with the message "Feeds Auto Discovered. Click here to view". You can click
on the icon to view list of all auto-discovered feeds. Later on, you can select
the feeds (and add them in feed list), clear or block them.
Auto Discovery while adding a new feed
Active Web Reader's Auto Discovery enables you to add new feeds while add a new
feed. This feature automatically discovers all feeds present in the web page
and lists them for you to add.
- On the File Menu, point to New and click New Feed.
- In the New Feed dialog, enter the URL of the web page that contains one or
more feed URL's.
- Click Ok. The Auto Discover dialog box appears.
- Feeds are listed in the dialog box as and when the Auto Discover feature finds a
feed.
- Select all the feeds that you want to add and click Add.
- In the Add to Folder dialog, select the folder where you want to
add the feed and click OK. If you click OK without selecting
a folder, the feed is added to the root folder. You may later drag and drop
the feed from the root folder to the folder of your choice.
- Click Close when done.
