Windows Mobile Profiles
The Windows Mobile operating system is used on many cellular phones and PDAs.
There are two types of video profiles for Windows Mobile devices: Windows Media Video (WMV) and AVI Video. Each type has High, Standard, and Low quality profiles.
Windows Media Video Profile
Output Profile >> Windows Mobile Devices >> Windows Media Video (High Quality)
By default, the video file format is Windows Media Video (*.wmv) and compressor is Windows Media Video 8. The frame rate and bitrate is set at 25 Fps and 1 500 Kbps respectively. The video dimensions can be retained or customized.
By default, the audio compressor is Windows Media Audio 8. The frequency is set at 44100 Hz, bitrate at 128 Kbps and sound channel on Stereo.
The settings that can be changed for this device profile are the frame rates, bitrate and audio channel.
AVI Video Profile
Output Profile >> Windows Mobile Devices >> AVI Video (High Quality)
By default, the video file format is AVI (*.avi) and compressor is Microsoft MPEG 4 v2. The frame rate and bitrate is set at 30 Fps and 1500 Kbps respectively. The video dimensions can be retained or customized.
For this device profile, you can choose among 3 compressors; XviD Encoder, Intel(R) H.264 (AVC) and Microsoft MPEG 4 v2 (default). The codec are listed in order, from the most compatible to least compatible and from good compression to the best. The default frame rate and bitrate is similar in XviD Encoder and Microsoft MPEG 4 v2. However, the bitrate is reduced to 1200 Kbps for the Intel(R) H.264 (AVC) compressor. The frame rate is the same for all the compressors.
You can choose to retain the default video dimensions or customize it.
By default, the audio compressor is Advanced Audio Codec (*.aac). You can change the compressor to MP3 (MPEG 1 Layer 3). The frequency is set at 44100 Hz, bitrate at 128 Kbps and audio channel on Stereo.
Except for the video file format, all the settings can be changed.
