Capturing in WMV Format
While capturing footage from a web camera, you can choose to capture uncompressed AVI, compressed AVI or WMV format. On the other hand, while capturing from a Digital Video Camera, the capture tool always saves the output file as DV-AVI format, which is a variant of uncompressed AVI format. The capture tool does not capture to WMV format from a Digital Video camera.
To capture in WMV format:
- On the Capture menu, click Options. The Options window opens.
- Make sure that the WMV option is selected from Video Capture Format under General tab.
- Select the WMV Settings tab.
- From the Video Profiles and Audio Profiles box, select the profiles of your choice. Available Streams for the selected profile will be displayed. You can select the one you want.
- Click OK.
