Recording a Fixed Dimension
To define the capture region in pixels, you can choose to the Fixed Dimensions
option.
- On the File menu, go to Region and click Fixed Dimensions.
You can also use the shortcut keys Ctrl + Q.
- Specify the dimensions of the rectangle to be panned. To specify the dimensions:
- Enter the Width, and Height values in pixels.
- Click Select to choose a location on the desktop.
- On the File menu, click Record to start recording. My Screen Recorder
Pro minimizes itself before the recording is started. You can also use the keyboard
shortcut key to start recording. By default, this key is F8.
- The mouse pointer changes to the rectangle with the specified dimensions. Move the
mouse, and position the rectangle where you want to record. Click once, to start
the recording process.
- Work normally while everything that happens on-screen in the rectangle is recorded.
- Drag the rectangle from its corners when you want to pan it around the desktop.
- There are two ways to pause the recording:
- Use the keyboard shortcut for pausing recordings. By default, this key is F8.
- The My Screen Recorder Pro icon is visible in the system tray by default. Right-click
the icon and select Pause Recording.
- After pausing the recording, you can resume recording using:
- The keyboard shortcut for resuming
recordings. By default, this key is F8.
- The My Screen Recorder Pro
icon is placed in the system tray by
default. Right-click it and select Record.
- When you have completed your work, you can use these two methods to stop the recording:
- Use the keyboard shortcut for stopping
recordings. By default, this key is F9.
- The My Screen Recorder Pro icon is placed in the system tray by default. Right-click
it and select Stop Recording.
- To cancel recording:
- Use the keyboard shortcut for canceling
recordings. By default, this key is F10.
- The My Screen Recorder Pro icon is placed in the system tray by default. Right-click
it and select Cancel Recording.
- After the recording is complete (stopped), the video and audio are merged.
You are given the chance to name the recording file. By default, it is saved in
the current Folder Shortcut. You
can click the Browse button and save it to any folder. If you save
to a folder that is not a Shortcut, that folder will be added to the Recent Folder
Shortcuts list at the left of the window. Use the built-in player to
preview the recording.
