Recording Video with Audio
To make your presentations, tutorials, and demonstrations interactive and exciting
to watch, you can record audio with the video. This can be especially useful
while recording games, videos and other multimedia applications.
While recording the audio, you can record from a microphone or from your PC's speakers.
Recording from the microphone is useful when you want to narrate as the screen is
captured, while recording from the PC's speakers will allow you to include the audio
present in the application.
To record from the microphone
To record from the microphone attached to your PC:
- On the Tools menu, click on Settings.
- Select the AVI Audio tab.
- Click on the Configure button.
- Select 'Record from microphone'.
- Click on OK.
This option should be selected when you want to record your narration with the video.
To record from speakers
This option should be selected when you want to record the audio present in the
application itself. For example, while capturing a game, you might want the
game sounds to be present along with the video in the recording. The audio
that is sent to the speakers gets recorded if you select the "Record from Speakers"
option.
To record from the speakers:
- On the Tools menu, click on Settings.
- Select the AVI Audio tab.
- Click on the Configure button.
- Select 'Record from Speakers'.
- If you want My Screen Recorder Pro to automatically detect and select the best line,
choose 'Automatically select the best line' and click on Auto Select.
The selection process might take a few seconds to complete. Once the selection
is done, the name of the selected line is displayed as the Control Selected.
It is recommended that you should disconnect the microphone when auto-selecting
the speaker line.
- If you want to select the line manually, choose the option, 'Let me select the
line' and then select a line from the given list.
- Click on OK.
