Splitting AVI Files
My Screen Recorder Pro allows you to split your AVI screen recordings. This
feature is useful when you want to remove unwanted portions from your recordings.
Also, if the size of the recording is more than can fit into your distributing media
such as CD-ROM, you can split the file and distribute each segment separately.
To split AVI files:
- Select the AVI file you want to split for the files listed.
- In the Tools menu click on Split Files.
- Specify the Output Folder where you want to save the new files.
- You can view the source file in the preview window.
- Under Split Functionality, select the Select portions of file for splitting
manually or Split source file automatically button.
- To Select portions of file for splitting manually, you'll use the slider
to select the beginning and end of a segment of the recording, and that piece will
be extracted as a new file. The original movie will not be changed.
Position the slider where you want the split-out section to start and click Mark
In. Reposition the slider to where you want the section to end and
click Mark Out. If you make a mistake, use the Clear button
to remove the selection. Click Add To List to add this selection to
the portions to be split.
- You can Split source file automatically by choosing the Limit each clip
to option and specifying the duration of each split or giving the total number
of parts into which you want to split the source file under Split into option.
Click Add To List.
- Click on Perform Split button.
