Uploading Video, Audio or Photos Periodically
Many video, audio and image (photo) files are created when alerts like Video/Audio recording and Take Photos are triggered, either, due to Motion/Noise or periodically. By default, a new file is created every time these alerts run. You can choose to upload one or more such files to an FTP location for central storage and maintenance at regular intervals. You can also choose to upload video, audio or photos on Motion/Noise Detection.
- Under RunAlerts, check the Afterevery option.
- Specify an interval in hours, minutes and seconds (hh:mm:ss).
- On the Tools menu, click Options.
- Select the RemoteMonitoring.
- Under Upload, click Configure.
- Configure FTPServerSettings and UploadBehavior.

Overwrite the Last Photo
You can use the overwrite option when you have a website that displays a photo taken by your webcam. By overwriting the same photo file, you can periodically update the picture posted on your website. When setting up, make sure that the Take Photo alert is selected and is configured to take only one photo.
- If monitoring is in progress, then on the Monitor menu, click StopMonitoring first.
- On the Tools menu, click Options.
- Select the RemoteMonitoring.
- Under Upload, click Configure.
- Under UploadBehavior, check the EnableAutomaticUpload option.
- Select any Automatic Upload option depending on your requirement.
- Specify the FTP server's setting to where you want to upload the last photo.
- Under UploadWhat, select the Photos option.
- Select OverwritePhotoFiles with the name.
- If required, change the name of the file.
- Click OK.
