Media Files

Viewing Videos, Audios and Photos

You can see the list of videos, audios and photos generated by Video/Audio Recording and Take Photos alerts, respectively, by selecting the Recordings tab.

To preview media files:

  1. In WebCam Monitor, select the Recordings tab. 
  2. Recording Folder in the address bar display the location where you have saved your media files. 
  3. To view specific types of files (only video file for instance), check or uncheck the Video, Audio and Photos options in the Files tab.

You can also change the way the media files are displayed in the Recordings by selecting from amongst five standard views.  Right click on the recordings window and point to View.  Click on any of the five options listed.

Opening Videos, Audios and Photos

To open video, audio and photo files in their default players:

  1. Select the Recordings
  2. Double-click the file that you want to open.  You can also right-click the file and select Preview from the menu that appears.

Deleting Videos, Audios and Photos

You can delete video, audio and photos generated by the Video/Audio Recording and Take Photo alerts from the Recordings.  To automatically delete generated files, you can configure settings provided by the two alerts.

Deleting video, audio and photo files

  1. Select the Recordings
  2. Select all files that you want to delete. 
  3. Right-click on any selected file and click Delete.

Deleting a file permanently deletes the file from the folder specified in the Recordings tab.

Deleting specific type of files

  1. Select the Recordings
  2. Right-click on the recordings window and point to select and click AllVideoFiles, AllAudioFiles or AllImageFiles depending on the type of file you want to delete. 
  3. Right-click on any selected file and click Delete.

Deleting a file permanently deletes the file from the folder specified in the Recordings tab.
