Screen Draw

My Screen Recorder Pro lets you to draw on the screen using different shapes while the recording is going on.  This feature is used to emphasize a particular part of the screen by underlining or circling it.  You can create diagrams using the different shapes provided such as ellipse, line, arrow.  The highlight effect brightens up any part of the screen.  You can even draw almost any shape on the screen using the pen- and all this can be done in colors of your choice.

Follow a few simple steps if you want to use the Screen Draw feature:

  1. On the Tools menu, click on Settings.
  2. Click on the Effects tab.  Now click on the Screen Draw button.
  3. On the Screen Draw dialog, under the Shape option, you may select Frame, Highlight, Ellipse, Pen, Line or Arrow.
  4. The Width can be chosen in the range of 1 to 8 pixels.
  5. Click on the Color button to select from Basic or Custom colors.
  6. You may check the Translucent option if you want the part under the drawing to show through.
  7. Check Disable mouse effects during screen draw if you don't want mouse effects you have selected to appear while drawing.
  8. Click OK on the Screen Draw dialog and the Settings dialog.

As the screen recording is going on, to use the Screen Draw feature you must:

  1. Right-click on the My Screen Recorder Pro icon in the Display Area.
  2. Select Effects and then Annotations and click on Screen Draw.
  3. Depending on what the Settings are, begin drawing with the selected shape.
  4. To deactivate Screen Draw, you can again select Effects and then Annotations and click on Screen Draw to de-select it.
  5. You may even activate or de-activate this feature by using the Effects menu or using keyboard shortcuts.

The advantage of using keyboard shortcuts is that you can activate or de-activate the screen draw feature, or change drawing tools, instantly, without recording yourself clicking on menus.
