Erase Single or Multiple Characters

Backspace command is different from the delete.  While delete command discards the text ahead of the cursor's position, backspace erases the preceding character.

Note - Please press and hold control key before you use any select command.  Otherwise application will recognize it as a text and not as a command.

Erase a single character

  • Backspace

The command moves the cursor backwards by one position and deletes the preceding character.

Erase multiple characters

  • Backspace <2-20> times

The command erases <2-20> characters to the left of the cursor position.

For example, say "Backspace 5 times".
