Moving Cursor in the Document

The cursor can be moved and placed anywhere within the document by certain number of characters, words, lines, paragraphs, and pages.

Note - Please press and hold control key before you use any Move command.  Otherwise application will recognize it as a text and not as a command.

To move the cursor by characters / words / paragraphs

  • Move left <2-20> characters / words / paragraphs

The command shifts the cursor to the left from current position by 2-20 characters / words / paragraphs.

For example, say, "Move left 5 characters", "Move left 15 words".

  • Move right <2-20> characters / words / paragraphs

The command shifts the cursor to the right from current position by 2-20 characters / words / paragraphs.

For example, say, "Move right 5 characters", "Move right 12 paragraphs".

To move the cursor by lines / pages

  • Move up <2-20> lines / pages

The command shifts the cursor up from current position by 2-20 lines / pages.

For example, say, "Move up 5 lines".

  • Move down <2-20> lines / pages

The command shifts the cursor down from current position by 2-20 lines / pages.

For example, say, "Move down 4 lines", "Move down 3 pages".

To move the cursor to start and end of word, line, paragraph, page, and document

  • Move to start of the word / line / paragraph / page / document

The control is shifted to the start of the word / line / paragraph / page / document in which the cursor is present.

  • Move to end of the word / line / paragraph / page / document

The control is shifted to the end of the word / line / paragraph / page /document in which the cursor is present.

To move the cursor at the start and end of the selected text

  • Move to start of the selection

This command moves the cursor at the start of the selected text.  On giving this command, the selected text gets deselected.

  • Move to end of the selection

This command moves the cursor at the end of the selected text.  On giving this command, the selected text gets deselected.

Note - Alternate word for move is go to.  You can use the words "next" and "forward" instead of "right".  You may use the words "previous", "back", "last" instead of "left".
